Announcing Trails 2035 Strategic Plan - You Can Support in Two Ways!
Mount Diablo Trails Alliance (MDTA) is proud to announce Trails 2035 - our community-focused strategic plan designed to achieve Better Trails | Greater Access for all trail user groups at Mount Diablo State Park.
Over the next 10 years, our four goals, ranked by estimated funding requirements:
1. Propose and secure an additional 15 miles of singletrack trails for multi-use bike friendly designation through the change-in-use (CIU) process
2. Propose and support the construction of two ADA-compliant trails to increase options for park visitors with accessibility needs
3. Service 50 miles of singletrack trails through trail maintenance events (Dig Days)
4. Launch Responsible Recreation education program and advocacy

To be successful, Trails 2035 requires a vital fundraising drive powered by charitable donations from people like you.
Act Now! Support Our Trails 2035 Strategic Plan in Two Ways
We need 2,000 signatures by March 1, 2026, affirming community support of our Better Trails | Greater Access goals for all trail user groups at Mount Diablo State Park, especially off-road cyclists and park visitors with accessibility needs.
The Trails 2035 Petition will be presented to the California State Parks Diablo Range District Superintendent, as part of our next Phase II change-in-use (CIU) submission in Winter 2026.
Help us reach our inaugural fundraising milestone of $50,000 by March 1, 2026
Trails 2035 will not achieve its ambitious goals without community funding, especially given costs associated with change-in-use (CIU) trail projects, ADA-compliant trail construction projects, and trail maintenance projects in sensitive species zones.
