Strong Close to Dig Days Season Three

Announcement - April 2, 2026

On Saturday, March 28, thirty-four volunteers joined California State Parks and Mount Diablo Trails Alliance to service Ridge View Trail at Mount Diablo State Park. Despite tough drought conditions, these amazing volunteers repaired the tread to be more uniform and outsloped. The net impact is a more accessible and sustainable trail.

Due to drought conditions, there will be no more Dig Days this season. The Dig Day previously scheduled for April 18th already has been canceled.

Join us next season. The schedule for Dig Days Season Four will be released by October 1, 2026.

Help Us Sustain the Stewardship Momentum
If you cannot join us for Dig Days, but want to support our community driven events, sign the Trails 2035 Petition and Donate.  We are a nonprofit organization completely reliant on donations and volunteers’ sweat equity to achieve Better Trails and Greater Access.

“The Trails 2035 petition drive represents a generational opportunity to come together and affirm that better trails and greater access truly matter.

Bikes belong. It’s time to share the trails.”

Michelle Petersen, Board Chair

Make a Charitable Donation
Help us reach our inaugural fundraising milestone of $50,000. Trails 2035 will not achieve its ambitious goals without community funding, especially given costs associated with the change-in-use (CIU) process, ADA-compliant trail construction projects, and trail maintenance projects conducted in sensitive species zones.

Mount Diablo Trails Alliance (MDTA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit trails stewardship and access advocacy organization. MDTA is volunteer led, building a Shared Stewardship model with California State Parks, focusing on Better Trails | Greater Access for all park visitors. Federal Tax ID # 99-4480469.
